alphaPlan Center brings practical technology education to Albania, free and in both Albanian and English, and open to anyone. People wrote and checked every lesson. You can learn on your own, use it at work, or teach with it. No accounts, no tracking.

The story
alphaPlan Center is a non-governmental organisation registered in Tirana as a centre, co-founded in 2019 by Admir Malaj, Aleksander Bello and Ori Hoxha. It started with one programme, Code for Albania: a three-year journey in computer science and design thinking for high-school students in two cities, built on the Code.X model that Albanian professionals brought home from Silicon Valley.
The programmes that followed, workshops hosted by the American Corners network, a cybersecurity project funded by the U.S. Department of State, a robotics course, a day of art and technology, produced material worth keeping. This site is where it lives now: every lesson written for the web, in both languages, by people, and free to anyone.
The name changed along the way. The organisation is alphaPlan Center; the platform you are reading is alphaPlan; Code for Albania is the programme both grew from, and it continues.

Who we work with
- Code.X
- Code for Albania runs on the Code.X model and is run together with Code.X.
- American Corners
- Our cybersecurity program was delivered as part of the “U.S. Cybersecurity Leadership in AI for Albania” project, funded by the United States Department of State, with workshops hosted by the American Corners network. The programming, mobile and data-structures courses grew out of programs delivered in partnership with the same network.
- The Albanian technology diaspora
- Guest lecturers and mentors from Albanian professionals abroad, above all in Silicon Valley, give their time to the programmes.

The people
alphaPlan Center was co-founded by Admir Malaj, Aleksander Bello and Ori Hoxha. With thanks to Prof. Enea Mançellari, and to Aurela Gjokutaj, ALTAX. The programmes are taught by mentors and teaching assistants, and every lesson on this site was written and checked by people.
